The STEP Room is a place where the Supportive Team for Educational Progress works with students from grades K to 6 at Green Street School. The things that happen in the STEP Room range from academic support to social skills groups, processing difficulties on the playground to playing a game of checkers, bouncing on a therapy ball to sitting in a bean bag chair, or playing a game on the I Pad to reading quietly in the corner. We try to help students center themselves so that they can return to the classroom and be successful.
One on-going challenge in the STEP Room is to see how many push-ups can be done in a row. The leading score is currently 50 push-ups, but many students have taken a try at beating the record. They display excellent form and enthusiasm for the task. This challenge is open for all takers. Please come try for your own personal best!
